Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Reportedly Delayed Until Mid-July

Much like its bigger version, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has been getting attention lately, especially after the leaked pictures and specifications spread in early March. It was expected to be launched a few days after the Samsung Galaxy S4 gets released on the market. However, recent reports suggest that it might take until mid-July before we can enjoy this mini device with Smart Pause and Scroll option.

Based on SamMobile.com, the Korean mobile manufacturer confirmed that they will delay the release of the much-awaited Galaxy S4 mini. They will reveal the product starting week 29 (July 15, 2013), compared to the previous reports that it will be ready by week 21 (May 20, 2013). The site did not disclose much as to why the company has issued a delayed order for the new Galaxy mini installment but they have confirmed the specifications of the device as written below.

Samsung Galaxy S4

Rear camera: 8-megapixel

Samsung is set to release two kinds of Galaxy S4 mini, “one with single SIM card and one with an option for two SIM cards,” and will be based on the Touch Wiz Nature UX. Although both will run 1.6 GHz chipset, the single SIM card phone will carry the Quad-core processor, while the dual-SIM will have the Dual-core DUOS. The GPU has not been confirmed but we’re certain that it will have the same Mali-400 of the Galaxy S3 mini, or a little higher, unless if they’re generous to lend us the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 on the Galaxy 4.

Apart from the two types of the device, Galaxy S4 mini will also have the GT-I9195 model which will support the reliable and fast LTE connection. Note: codename GT-I9198 is for the China launched version of the device (don’t be misled by the names). This will unlikely be launched in other markets.

Currently, we have no clue as to how much the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will be in the United Kingdom and the United States, but we will be updating you regarding this as soon as we get news. Last year, the Galaxy S3 mini was priced at around £300 ($460) per unit and £27 ($41) per month with contract. How do you feel about the new Galaxy mini installment?
